They want to fast-track hundreds of homes in a Fire Zone. Zero Public Input. No Way.

A developer is attempting to use state streamlining laws meant for commercial corridors to force a massive housing development into a canyon in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone of the Santa Monica Mountains. They are trying to bypass the safety and environmental scrutiny required by law. If they succeed, they build without a hearing.

We are the Woodland Hills Neighborhood Collective, and we are fighting to ensure the law is followed: No approval without a full Environmental Impact Report (EIR) that accounts for our fire safety and infrastructure limits.

No fees required, but you do need to OPT out of optional tips or fees. We have established a tax exempt nonprofit with 501(c)(4) status (IRS).

A 501(c)(4) is not a 501(c)(3) - you will not be able to write off your donation. There are other positives to being a 501(c)(4) and this was a choice carefully considered. The IRS itself is best to explain the difference between the two, can pick that up starting here: https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/other-non-profits/social-welfare-organizations

Do speak with an accountant if you have additional questions.

From Public Commentary during the Dec 15th, 2025 Santa Monica Mountain Conservancy Meeting

As it stands right now, there will be no council review (city or neighborhood) and no CEQA. We need your letter, your activism, and your help to alert the community.

If it’s happening here in Woodland Hills first, it’s going to spread throughout the conservancy’s area of responsibility and throughout the state.

Please stand up for our rights. We don’t get a do over on this folks. "
