On December 4th, 2025, the community's voice was heard during the local WHWCNC Planning, Land Use and Mobility Committee (PLUM) meeting. Approximately 20 neighbors stepped up to the podium during the General Public Comment period, united by a shared urgency to protect Woodland Hills. They didn't just speak; they shared heartfelt and harrowing concerns about the proposed development at the Country Club.
Residents highlighted the extreme risks of building high-density housing in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone, fearing that the limited evacuation routes could lead to disaster. Others pointed to the aging infrastructure—water, sewer, and electricity systems from the 1920s—that simply cannot support such a massive influx. The heartfelt testimonies painted a clear picture: this isn't just about zoning; it's about the safety and soul of our neighborhood. This turnout at PLUM was a powerful demonstration that we are paying attention, we are organized, and we will not be silent when our community's future is at stake.
