Jesse Gabriel makes Press Statement, Concerned Neighbors Gathered outside of his Holiday Party
12/18/2025 - KTLA 5 - Battle over housing development in Woodland Hills
On 12/17, neighbors visited Jesse Gabriel's Holiday Party for SF Valley representatives, but were denied entry (reasonably) because they were not on the invite list.
Jesse did not come out to address his constituents until everyone had left - only then did he speak to Rick Chambers of KTLA 5. By 12/23/2025 the KTLA video would have 1,760 views and 20 comments.
On the evening of December 17, 2025, the escalating battle over the Woodland Hills Country Club development reached a new level of visibility. Frustrated by a lack of engagement from their elected officials, a group of concerned neighbors attempted to bring their grievances directly to Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel at a private holiday party for San Fernando Valley representatives.
Barred from entry because they weren't on the invite list, the residents waited outside, hoping for a chance to be heard. They spoke to KTLA 5’s Rick Chambers about their fears regarding the fast-tracked project in a high wildfire risk canyon and the feeling that they are being given the "run around" between city and state offices.
It wasn't until the constituents had dispersed that Assemblymember Gabriel emerged to speak with the press. He expressed frustration with the "finger-pointing" from the city council but promised to review the issue with his staff. For the neighbors, the night underscored the difficulty of their fight—but also their resolve to ensure their safety and voices are not ignored.
